We received an interesting guest today from Universitas Indonesia. The current hero in the industrial tomography world. I had no knowledge of Dr. Warsito P. Taruno previous from his visit to our lab. He's championing non-nuclear tomographic methods, which means his research is in direct competition, or in compliment with nuclear methods...depending on how you see it. He's put in many solid years in Ultrasonic Tomography in his post-grad studies and now he's come up with a novel algorithm, Neural Network Multi-Criteria Optimisation Image Reconstruction Technique (NN-MOIRT) which got the industry players in America excited. His invention of a 4-dimensional tomographic scanner promises to revolutionise imaging technology. Users will be able to see more accurate picture of what goes on in a dynamic process inside a reactor vessel in real-time.
